Joey

 Joey is a very sweet Quarter Horse gelding born in April, 2023.  He was surrendered to us in February, 2025. We were told Joey was born with angular limb deformity in his front legs and by the time his owner considered surgery for him it was too late.  He is tall, well handled, and friendly.  We had Joey xrayed and he has very limited range of motion in his one knee (the other is normal).  His lower carpal bones have damage that may actually be from trauma and some joints are already collapsed.  It is a very sad diagnosis.  He is on pain management and as a preventive we have started him on Adequan and glucosamine injections.  As long as he in comfortable he will have a good life with us.
