The Animals of Bear Valley Rescue

Horses for Adoption
Read our  ADOPTION POLICIES  and submit an adoption application if you are interested in adopting one of our horses.

Our standard adoption fee is $800 unless otherwise noted.      Adoption fees help to offset (but come nowhere near to covering) the expenses of caring for the animals, many of which will live out their lives with us.  Please do not ask for a discount.  If you can't afford the adoption fee, you can't afford the after-care required to provide a good home for a horse.

Horses available for adoption    tend to be sound and healthy and would make good riding prospects and lifetime partners.

Permanent Residents
Permanent residents are horses that we do not ever anticipate re-homing or moving from the Rescue.  Generally they are those that are very old or with serious health or temperament issues, or that have already been with us for many years.  Occasionally resident horses may be available for fostering.

Other Resident Animals
We have more than just horses at the Rescue!   Other resident animals, such as cows, goats, pigs, or poultry, are not as a rule available for adoption.  However, if you are interested, you can always contact us as we may have  one available or know of another rescue looking to re-home  an animal.

Rainbow Bridge
The rainbow bridge page is our memorial to those horses (and other animals) that have passed through our gates and over the Rainbow Bridge.
Each one is special , fondly remember
, and greatly missed.
