Bear Valley Rescue: Lost or Stolen Horses
If you know or hear anything about these horses (etc) that are missing, Please contact the owner or your local police, RCMP, or Livestock Inspection Office. *Dog that went missing Oct 16, 2011 south of Water Valley, AB. My friend's dog Gracie is a 2 yr old rottie mix, medium sized, (approx 60 lbs) female, medium length coat, black and tan (rottie type markings). she has an ear tattoo XTT83. She is shy but friendly with people and is dog friendly. We have searched everywhere for the last three weeks and though our hopes are dwindling, we still want and hope for Gracie to get home. Her reg. name is Zarmida. I was the breeder and unfortunately, was not notified that she was going to be sent to an auction. I am heartsick to learn that she went through an auction in Manitoba consigned by a man named Muller. At the time, there was also a black Arabian stallion who went through, part of his name is Khalijah. I have not yet learned details of exactly which auction or date and I don't know if the reg papers accompanied the horses. Zarmida's bloodline is rare and is important to the breed. I had her sire & dam & Grandam. I would be grateful just to find that Zarmida is in a good home and being cared for. I would appreciate any leads if anyone has rescued a similar mare from auction or if there are any rescue groups who may have helped her, etc. Anytime from 2008 to July, 2010. She is dearly missed please help us find her. - see picture. * Our 2 yr old grey gelding has gone missing. He was at the ROCKING W SPRING SALE ON May 16th in Brandon, Mb. We last saw him in his box stall at 5 p.m. When we went to load horses to go home at around 7 p.m. he was no longer in his stall. We searched all the other stalls, barns etc. and he was not there. He is 2 yrs. old, a rose grey, stands approx. 15 hh. He also has a microchip implanted on the left side of his neck. The attachment shows a picture taken of him on Saturday at the Rocking W Sale. She was discovered missing early this morning(Wednesday August 20/08). Mandy was not in her field this morning and upon looking further the family discovered thewires on their fence had been cut.
